Portfolio Reviews

I had my work reviewed by three established artists that were a pleasure to meet with and offered such invaluable advice and feedback on my work as well as my goals for furthering my practice and career.

I met with Lois Jordan (Retoucher), Roz Doherty (Events Coordinator), and Maya Sharp (Freelancer/Photographic Assistant). Each of these well-regarded professionals had different insights that they were able to share with me and all comments and feedback was greatly appreciated.

Building up to portfolio reviews, there was a great deal of nerves and second guessing as to whether I had prepared a substantial portfolio of work, did it show my abilities to be the standard that professionals would deem worth their time, and all many of other questions.

Having done them though, I am eager to conduct more reviews and to get my work seen by a lot more professionals. As a plan of action, following these reviews, I contacted one of the other artists present on the day, Josh Wilde (Product and Commercial Photographer), in the hopes of making a connection to better my skills of talking about my own work. To my advantage, Josh responded and we will soon be meeting to review my work from his point of view, a great asset to my practice.
